Angie Martinez spoke to an eyewitness of the violent incident in Lower Manhattan today. While the investigation into what happened near Chambers Street and the West Side Highway in TriBeCa is still ongoing, the New York Times is reporting that six people were killed and eleven people were injured after the suspect drove a truck through a stretch of bike path near the Hudson River.
A young woman named Nova witnessed the horrific event taking place and called Angie to report on what she had seen. Nova was driving down the West Side Highway when she was stopped by two cars in front of her and when she looked to her right she "saw the actual commotion of the people being run over on the bike lane." She drove from 14th street downtown to Canal street and saw the tragic damage along that entire stretch of road.
