Hilary Duff Confirms 'Lizzie McGuire' Revival Talks Are Happening!

Lizzie McGuire might be making her comeback to the small screen!

On Friday (December 7), Hilary Duff, the woman behind the titular teen herself, teased the possibility of her beloved alter ego's revival while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at Love Leo Rescue's 1st Annual Cocktails for a Cause Fundraiser at Los Angeles' Rolling Greens.

"There’s been some conversations,” the 31-year-old actress told the outlet. "It’s definitely not a go. I don’t want to get everyone wild talking about it."

While unconfirmed, Duff says she'd totally be down for bringing Lizzie McGuire back to the tube. "I mean I love her so much," the "Sparks" singer continued. "I think she was so important to girls at an important time in their life. If she could be important to them again at this age, I think that would be amazing."

The Disney Channel series, which aired from January 2001 to February 2004, lasted two seasons and produced 65 episodes. In its run, Lizzie McGuire was plauded for answering the wishes of preteen and adolescent girls, touching on such topics as high school drama, coming into girlhood, friendships and relationships.

Considering the time that's passed — and that Duff is a mother of two children now — the actress has an interesting premise in mind for fictional persona's possible return.

"I'm racking my brain. I don't think she's a mom yet, but she might be getting there soon," Duff said. "It could be a possibility or it could be nothing, so we'll see."
