Vanessa Bryant is still grieving the loss of husband and daughter, Kobe and Gianna, following their tragic helicopter crash, which also took the lives of seven others, and she's managing the losses in her own way.
On Saturday (June 13), the famed widow, 38, took to Instagram Story to explain why she and her 17-year-old daughter, Natalia, have blocked several fan pages on Instagram. "Thx so much of all the [heart]," she kicked off the message. "@nataliabryant and I have unfortunately had to block fan pages because it's been really hard to go online and constantly see pics of our beloved Gigi and Kobe under every single square of our explore pages. Blocking the fan pages has helped change the algorithm."
Bryant went on to admit that they've had to do this for their own healing. "We [heart] you all but please understand that we had to do this for our own healing not because we don't appreciate your [heart]," she concluded the message.
Just last week, Bryant went public with her tribute tattoos in honor of her fallen family members. Over on her private Instagram account, she shared videos of herself getting inked by artist Nikko Hurtado. "I wanted my boo boo's @kobebryant sweet message transferred on me," she captioned one of the posts, which saw Hurtado work on a piece on her neck. In another post, she revealed that she actually received the ink in February, writing, "Shoutout to @nikkohurtado for coming over and helping me get my Gigi’s sweet message transferred on me. #throwbacktoFebruary."
As you know, the devastating crash also killed John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser and pilot Ara Zobayan. Since then, Vanessa has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Island Express Helicopters and is seeking "economic damages, non-economic damages, prejudgment interest, punitive damages, and other relief as the Court deems just and proper."
