'Dawson’s Creek’ Will Finally Be Available On Netflix, But There's A Catch

If you don't want to wait to stream Dawson's Creek anymore, you're in luck. On Tuesday (October 20), Netflix announced the beloved teen drama will hit the streaming service next month. This will be the first time Dawson's Creek will be available to stream in its entirety on Netflix.

While first time viewers may not realize something is missing when they hit play, viewers returning to Dawson's Creek will be sad to learn the iconic theme songPaula Cole's 'I Don't Want To Wait—will not be included. Instead, viewers will instead Canadian musician Jann Arden’s 'Run Like Mad' during the intro. 'Run Like Mad' replaced 'I Don't Want To Wait' in the series' DVD and streaming releases due to rights issues.

Dawson's Creek originally debuted on the WB in January 1998 and ran for six seasons. The show launched the careers of multiple well-known actors, including Katie Holmes, James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson and four-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams.

For those who haven't yet been able to watch Dawson's Creek, here's the show's official synopsis:

This drama series chronicles the lives of wannabe filmmaker Dawson Leery, his best friend Joey, who has been in love with him since childhood, close friend and slacker Pacey, and new girl next door Jen. Additional friends come and go, feelings change, and Dawson must suffer through growing pains.

Dawson's Creek will be available to stream on Netflix beginning November 1. Will you be tuning in?
