Mandy Moore has done many things throughout her career — pop princess, television star, film actress — but there is one dream she hopes to still achieve in the future.

The "Candy" singer recently spoke to People where she shared that she one day would like to appear on Broadway. While the idea of taking the stage for a live performance every night is nerve-wracking, she explained that it is also equal parts thrilling.

"One day doing Broadway, doing theater, is sort of what remains on a pedestal for me," she said, adding, "It terrifies me, but also the idea of it thrills me more than anything. So one day, hopefully, that will come to fruition. We'll see."

The A Walk to Remember star doesn't yet have her sights set on any particular role, she is open for whatever part may come when the time is right in her career.

"I think I'm pretty open to when the timing is right and the right project sort of presenting itself," she said, adding, "Maybe it's something original, maybe it's a revival of something. I'm kind of open to right place, right time, whatever it is."

Last year, Moore appeared on an episode of the Las Culturistas podcast where she spoke about her time as a young pop star in the early 2000s and the "pop idol worship" of the time.
