CVS is officially beginning drive-thru COVID-19 testing across Southern California.
The testing will be available at 14 drive-thru CVS Pharmacy locations in California along with 12 in Southern California. Currently, none of these stores are located in Los Angeles County since L..A. County is offering free COVID-19 testing to anyone, even if you aren't showing any symptoms. CVS will have testing at 350 of its stores nationwide and by the end of May the company is hoping to have testing available at 1,000 stores.
If you are interested in getting a test, patients must register on the CVS website and schedule an appointment. Then, when you pull up to the CVS, the self-swab will be done in a car with a CVS pharmacy employee observing to make sure everything is done properly.
Your results will be available to you within three days.
