As of June 15th, California will lift many of the COVID restrictions that residents have grown accustomed to. The state's workforce regulators are taking a more cautious approach and could require face masks indoors where unvaccinated people are present.
According to the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, they proposed that employers keep mask and social distancing requirements in some settings until early next year. The agency also recommended that the state keep a July 31st deadline to update employer pandemic safety rules instead of lifting some COVID restrictions on June 15th.
