Egg Smuggling At The Border Is Rising

Egg smuggling is a thing now. As the price of the staple skyrockets, Customers and Border Protection says there's been a surge of nearly 30-percent in attempts to bring eggs across the Southern border. Bringing raw and fresh eggs into the U.S. is prohibited because of the risk of spreading disease. Meanwhile, prices have been soaring as bird flu has left the nation's poultry decimated. CBP is now scrambling to step up efforts so eggs don’t cross the border.
