A small town in France turned blue to break a record. Landerneau saw 3,076 participants gather, dressed as Smurfs, to shatter the previous record of 2,762. Paramount Pictures France organized the event to promote the upcoming "Smurfs, The Movie" set to be released in July. The French town made two previous failed attempts to take the record away from a German town. The people gathered broke out in some “smurfy” songs to celebrate the record.
