“Skibidi” And “Delulu” Added To Cambridge Dictionary

The Cambridge Dictionary has added the slang terms “skibidi” and “delulu” to its online edition. “Skibidi,” from the viral “Skibidi Toilet” series, is a zany word that is used playfully with varying or no meaning. It can also mean “cool” or “bad.” Meanwhile, “delulu,” short for “delusional,” describes choosing to believe things that aren’t real, on purpose. Both terms reflect internet culture’s growing influence on language. They join over 6-thousand new entries this year, including “tradwife,” “red flag,” and “work wife.”
