*LIST* Countries With The Most & Least Paid Time Off

While many of us are lucky enough to get paid vacation and sick days from our jobs, new research reveals the U.S. could be doing a lot more when it comes to this perk. Some countries have laws that make paid time off not just available to their workers, it’s a requirement. So, who has the best paid annual leave in the world? A new report reveals the countries with the most and least paid time off.

  • MoorePay, an HR and payroll company, analyzed how much paid time off is legally required by law and the number of public holidays around the world to find out which countries offer the best benefits for their workers and the ones that are coming up short.
  • It turns out, the country with the most paid days off is Yemen. Workers there get a whole month and a half off between 30 days of annual leave and 16 public holidays.
  • Libya comes in second with 45 days, followed by Bahrain with 44.
  • Can you guess which country gets the least paid time off? It’s the U.S., where there is no federal law requiring workers to get paid vacation or public holidays.
  • Japan is number two, with 10 days total, followed by Guyana with 12.
