Love isn’t getting any cheaper
Are you considering roses, chocolates or a romantic restaurant to celebrate your love this Valentine's Day? Celebrating love may cost you more this year. The National Retail Federation says the average American will spend about $175 per person, up from $164 last year. Chocolates and candies will cost 11% more this year because of a shortage of cocoa around the world. Dining out is more expensive, as grocery staples are higher. The good news? Roses are down 5% this year. So maybe get roses and cook a romantic dinner at home.
